Organized in 1980, SJPA is one of the oldest and most active paralegal associations in the area. In May 2013, SJPA will be celebrating 30 years of incorporation! So stay tuned for events throughout the year leading up to our gala celebration in May!

Our calendar is filled with activities throughout the year offering numerous opportunities to network with other legal professionals, whether it’s one of our bi-monthly membership meetings or our annual CLE Convention.
In 2010, SJPA rolled out its New Jersey Certified Paralegal (NJCP®) program! This was a huge milestone for SJPA voting members who now have the ability to become credentialed as a New Jersey Certified Paralegal (NJCP®). Information on the program requirements is available under the “Knowledge Center” tab, where you have the ability to download an application.

New Jersey Certified Paralegal Program
South Jersey Paralegal Association is pleased to announce that it is offering a voluntary certification program to those individuals who choose to become a NJCP (New Jersey Certified Paralegal) providing paralegal employees and employers with a benchmark to determine qualified individuals who are competent to provide legal services under the supervision of an attorney. SJPA hosted its own full day annual convention! The Convention was held at The Enterprise Center (convention center) in Mt. Laurel, which is located on the grounds of Burlington County College. (The convention is not affiliated with BCC in any way.)
SJPA's amazing lineup of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars covered various areas of the law. The seminars were geared toward all paralegal levels – beginner (student), intermediate, and advanced - and were relevant to all paralegals, regardless of their specialty. All seminars qualified for CLE credits for those attendees holding an NJCP or RP certification.
